coComment Sponsoring Le Web3 in Paris, December 11&12
coComment is one of the sponsors of this year’s Le Web 3, in Paris on December 11 & 12. Come by our booth located in the exhibitor area to say hello, check out the latest features and take a t-shirt home.
Entrepreneurs, bloggers and web2.0 players around the world are attending this year’s conference. A truly International event, with over 1000 people from around the globe.
This year’s theme is “New Technology” and we love to tell you how coComment will play a part in the next generation of web technologies.
coComment Updated
In case you hadn’t noticed, we issued a new version of coComment this week. There were a number of minor fixes and two new functionalities that we’d like to tell you about.
coComment on Facebook
We issued a Facebook application. Actually, we issued two. One to allow you to show all the comments you’ve made and another to show all the comments on your site. To load them simply search for coComment in the applications area and install them to your Facebook profile.
Here’s a picture of my comments shown in my Facebook profile.
coComment conversation outsourcing
As you probably know, we have been powering conversations on a few select sites recently. We got some good feedback on this so we have launched this as a service that anyone can use. Simply go to Tools>Tools for Site Owners>Outsource Conversations to coComment and input your site details. You can then use this code to deliver conversations on your site completely free of charge.
As ever, please keep the comments and feedback coming. We are very much in the ‘polishing’ mode where we are looking to make coComment the easiest service to use as well as the most complete.
coComment at Blog World Expo in Las Vegas
coComment was at Blog World Expo in Las Vegas last week and thank you to all bloggers that stopped by to say hello. It was great fun and we put together a short video from the conference itself … hope you enjoy it! Kristina
Site maintenance
We will start now an upgrade of the service database. Although we are making all what is possible to keep the service up, you might experience some slow down or disruption in the next 2 hours.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

coComment wins DEMOGod award at DEMOfall 07
Yes ! We did it !
coComment Version 2.0 won a DEMOGod award at DEMOfall 07. To say that we were ‘happy’ is to seriously underestimate the situation.
Getting Version 2.0 launched has been a long and difficult road for all of us. However, it makes the success when we do get there so much sweeter. I genuinely believe that as a result of all the honest feedback we’ve received from our users we have produced a much stronger product. So, a big big thank you to all of you for taking the time to let us know, for being honest yet supportive and for sticking with us even when we faltered.
I would also very much like to thank (sorry, this is starting to sound like an Oscar’s acceptance isn’t it) our development team. As is always the way, the business and executive people attend the events, stand up and speak and receive the plaudits. The reality is that the majority of the real work is done in our development office so the award is destined for the wall there.
But, as ever, the journey continues. coComment Version 2.0 is not a perfect product, it can get better and, with your support and feedback, it will.
Thanks,
Matt.
PS. Here we are looking suitably smug
coComment at DEMOfall 07 … Post #2
Well, we have had a great response to coComment at the event. Press coverage has been really good and everyone to whom we’ve demonstrated Version 2.0 has been very positive about what we’ve built.
Of course, that’s not to say that it can’t be improved further so please do keep your thoughts and comments for development coming.
I’ve attached a couple of photos of our very active booth in the DEMO Pavilion.
Cheers,
Matt.
coComment Version 2.0 Launches at DEMOfall 07
coComment is at DEMOfall 07 this week. Today, Tuesday, we got our chance at our six minutes of fame in front of nearly 800 people. I’ll leave it to the subsequent blogs and posts to see how we did but, I have to say, we enjoyed it and we certainly seemed to get a lot of attention on our stand afterwards.
For those who would like to inflict the full presentation on themselves it’s accessible on the DEMO website at the following location DEMOfall 07 Presentations (You will need to select coComment to view)

Service maintenance
We are now taking down our service for a maintenance.
We will try to keep this operation as short as possible.
Sorry for the inconvenience
Christophe.
Feedback - please keep it coming
We have had, as I am sure everyone can imagine, a large postbag of items from users with comments and feedback about coComment Version 2.0 Beta.
As a result, we are at the moment undertaking a redesign to make the user interface slicker and easier to use. We are not, having learnt our lessons from the Beta launch, going to go for one huge new release but will, instead, be releasing new versions frequently (weekly, maybe sometimes slightly more) in the next few weeks each with small updates and iterations.
We think that the speed and bug issues are now resolved. However, that does not mean that there will never be any issues … as we have to interact with unknown websites across the internet it may be that you find a site where coComment does not work properly. If you do, please please please let us know … we will fix it but if we don’t know we can’t.
As ever, feel free to contact us at any time.
Best,
Matt.
