Service outage
As some of you noticed, we have had a partial outage on April 3rd. This was not a total service interruption as many users were still able to access it. However, some were not able to connect to it (like me), or did get very slow response.
We are still investigating what happened, but I guess you understand this is a strange situation as the service was still up and running and some users still using it !
In order to prevent such an outage to slow down the access to an integrated blog or to a site using the blog boxes, we are making some changes in our client code and our service architecture. We will keep you posted when the update will be available.

3 days after the problem, you post an acknowledgement! I don’t call that good service.
I think you should also create your service blog on a different server so if you do have a problem, you can update this blog and provide an update in a realistic time so we will know what is going on. That I would call good service!

Hi Steve,
Yes, you are right, but we first tryed to understand what was going wrong. Also, only a fraction of the users was affected and the service wasn’t actually down.
Regarding our blog, it is hosted on a different platform, at a different location. You can access it directly at http://blog.cocomment.com.
Thanks

During the time I saw the “outage”, I could not get my page loaded properly (the cocomment widget wouldn’t load). I could not get to CoComment’s home page. I could not get to your blog. From what I saw (and I was not the only one) although as you indicate, what I saw may not have been reflective of all users, you were down and out.
Oh, and I did check on several other services and sites to confirm it was not a problem unique to me and my system and those others all functioned.
